·         Consider the guidelines on page 133-134 about cultural issues in your classroom and probe each possibility in a little more detail.

·         Point out the advantages of ESL and disadvantages of EFL.

·         Explain how to compensate for the lack of ready communicative situations outside the EFL classroom door.

·         Reflect on the differences between NNEST and NEST and describe the way you can overcome your NNEST condition.

·         Which steps could be taken to lift the motivation level in countries like Argentina where English is a compulsory subject in the schools and motivation to learn is slow?
